Mumbai Court : Reject Siddharth Pithani’s Bail : Plea Of Sushant Singh Rajput’s Friend Siddharth Pithani
Sushant Singh was found hanging in the flat in June 2020. The 34-year-old Bollywood Actor was found hanging in his flat in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. After which the police arrested many people including Rajput’s girlfriend and actor Riya Chakraborty. Most of those arrested are out on bail.
A special NDPS court in Mumbai on 14th December, 2021 (Tuesday) refused bail to Sushant Singh’s flat mate cum neighbour Siddharth Pithani in the drugs case related to the death of late Bollywood Actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
This is the second time that the court has refused regular bail to Siddharth Pithani.
Siddharth Pithani was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) from Hyderabad on 28th May, 2021 this year. And he is currently in judicial custody.
He was booked under section 27 (a) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, among other charges.
Pithani had sought bail claiming that he had been falsely implicated and that he was never in possession of drugs. Their petition states that nothing suggesting their involvement in drug trafficking has been found from them.
The NCB had launched an investigation after alleged Whatsapp chats suggesting links between drug rackets and some members of the film industry and Rajput’s death.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister will take part in a candle march. Sushant Singh’s sister Priyanka Singh has said that she will participate in a ‘candle march’ to give impetus to the ‘Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput’ campaign on Tuesday evening.
The family has been making allegations about the actor’s untimely death and a campaign is being launched on social media to get to the bottom of the matter. Priyanka said on Twitter that she will take part in the march to be held at Jantar Mantar.
